Porsche 911 type 915 Transmission Rebuilt 1972-75 with Mechanical Speedometer

Porsche 911 Type 915 transmission rebuilt Exchange. This particular transmission is from a 1972 with mechanical speedometer driven by a cable. We have refreshed all syncronizer rings, replaced 1st, 2nd and third gear engagement teeth, and bearings as needed. This is the one of the first of the 915 transmissions (915/02) and features a 7/31 ring and pinion and all the gearing is taller to run with the short ring and pinion. This transmission is an open differential with spider gears.
A limited slip can be added for an additional charge and the time needed to install it.
All of our transmissions are carefully cleaned with plastic media blaster on these older magnesium case gearboxes as to not discolor the castings turning them white from using bead blast or soda blast media. All exterior hardware is replaced with new nuts that are replated in yellow Zink chromate as well as the breather tube, accelerator pivot, drain plugs, and any brackets making the appearance of the transmission like new.
THIS TRANSMISSION CARRIES A CORE CHARGE OF 00 THAT IS REFUNDED UPON THE RETURN OF YOUR OLD 915 GEARBOX
. If you do not have a core transmission we keep the core charge cash and you can buy the unit outright. This is a truck item and will be crated and needs to be received at a commercial delivery address. Residential delivery with a lift gate and an appointment with the tracking company for delivery is an additional 0. Freight rates will be approximately 0 to the East Coast and 0 to the West Coast.
