1967-69 Camaro Firebird GTO Mustang 3-Speed Manual Transmission w/ Hurst Shifter

FREE Local Pick Up at 92371 Phelan CA or Buyer pays all packing & shipping costs Greyhound or FedEx. 1968 Camaro / Firebird 3-Speed Ford Toploader Transmission with Hurst Shifter & Handle (# 5325 Camaro & Firebird Only) in Good Used Condition. This is a Rare Factory Installation where GM actually used Ford products in their own cars instead of implementing their own transmission on the assembly line. Looks complete & original with some light surface rust on the outside cast iron case as well as inside on the gears from sitting in the elements. Used & still working as it should, I would simply add Gear Oil & Go, & after some mileage the gears should clean up a bit & then Drain & Re-Fill. I do not see any damage or repairs to the outside case or shifter etc. Gear Oil has been removed for shipping purposes. These Ford transmissions are well made just like their posi-trac rear axle units. I had one of these in a 1968 GTO & could wind it up to 70 in Second Gear before having to shift into 3rd. Long story short, most of the factory equipped cars running 1/4 mile races back in the day very rarely were able to use or shift into 4th gear unless they were running a very Tall Rear Gear 3:90, 4:11 etc. If you have any questions or need more pictures please ask.
